Services Fees & Charges - How We Get Paid

Business Energy

Norweb Energy Ltd receive a commission directly from the supplier when a business energy contract procured via us goes live; it pays for our service, including comparison, account management, customer service and service management. The commission earned by Norweb Energy Ltd balances the cost to provide these services, in line with providing good customer outcomes and retaining our standing within the market in order to continue to provide customers with competitive deals for their business. By agreeing to use our service, you are agreeing for Norweb Energy Ltd to receive commission for our service.

The commission is included within your unit cost of energy usage by way of a small uplift; therefore, the cost of Norweb Energy Ltd service(s) is included within the cost of the energy contract you agree with your chosen supplier. You are not required to make any direct payment to Norweb Energy Ltd.

As an example, we may secure an electricity unit rate of 15.7 pence per kwH (kilowatt hour) to which we may apply an uplift of 0.7 pence, so the contracted price would be 16.4 pence per kwH. The calculation for our commission is therefore uplift multiplied by annual energy consumption and multiplied by the contract term. Whilst different for every contract, our commission is generally just a few percent of the cost of the total energy contract and typically under 1 pence of the unit rate.

Some suppliers may make additional payments to us, e.g. a nominal payment per meter sold successfully to that supplier; however, these payments do not impact the fairness of the comparison service provided.

Business Water

Norweb Energy Ltd receive a commission from our business water partner for the introduction of customers to their service. This is included within the cost of your water retail service fee by way of a small uplift applied to usage over the life of the contract, which therefore would be included within the cost of the water contract you agree via Norweb Energy. You are not required to make any direct payment to Norweb Energy. This commission balances the cost of service, including quoting, sales support, and switch management with providing good customer outcomes and retaining our standing within the market, in order to continue to provide customers with competitive deals for their business. By agreeing to use our service, you are agreeing for Norweb Energy to receive this remuneration for our service.

Business Telecoms

Norweb Energy Ltd receive a retail introduction fee directly from our business telecoms partner for the introduction of a customer to their telecoms services. The fee is paid per telecoms contract and the amount may vary dependant on the package taken. You are not required to make any direct payment to Norweb Energy. This fee balances the cost of our service, including quoting, sales support and switch management with providing good customer outcomes and retaining our standing within the market, in order to continue to provide customers with competitive deals for their business. By agreeing to use our service, you are agreeing for Norweb Energy to receive this remuneration for our service.

Other Fees & Charges

Norweb Energy Ltd may occasionally send an invoice for their services provided to business energy customers depending on the complexity of the query being handled. Customers can expect to receive an invoice if any of the following services have been carried out:
